SYNOPSIS
Mark Twain humorously observed that there are 2 types of people, those who divide people into types and those who do not.
I’ve always thought this was super funny given all the ways we attempt to slice ourselves into categories.
Personally, I HAVE noticed a split in people between those who are security driving and those who are opportunity driven.
People who are security driven tend to be focussed on a return to the “way things were — back when they were good” whereas, people who are opportunity driven want “what’s new, next, and possible.”
Understanding our own drives and those of people can help us shape our relationships and our vision for what’s possible.
Today, let’s explore this idea of types more deeply.
So true. This is what I have been facing for a couple of weeks. Some different people has different way to do, I want to think those people are basically nice, but maybe the situation doesn’t let them to be the nice side… I don’t know. I try to think that way and not stick on those negative ways others are doing…which is not easy for me sometimes. I wish they show me and do a little bit nicer and warm human temperature…I cannot spend so much time to be discouraged or get upset for those people do different way. I need to spend more time to help my son who is now in difficult situation. I think this is a training for me to get over. I have been thinking if I haven’t started this 21 complaint free challenge, I could be so miserable, but since I have been challenging complaint free, I am able to analyze myself and others and work for solution and am now working on. Thank you.
