My friend Dan Murphy is an awesome radio announcer.
His golden voice has been gracing Seattle’s airwaves for four decades but a commonly held belief almost prevented Dan from his success.
You see, Dan was born blind and the “common wisdom” 60 years ago was to put disabled people into sheltered workshops to do piecework.
But Dan saw common wisdom as a lie and he turned his disability into a great career.
