Synopsis
Decades ago, I used to be into “practical jokes” — big time, until I pushed an April Fool’s gag a little too far.
Today,
- Why that “joke” turned me off to pulling pranks on people
- Why Schadenfreude is often a key motivator
- Consider April Friends Day, instead
Whatever your take on April Fools day, I want to know your experiences and your opinions in this JumpStart > > >

I love your daily Jumpstarts! I don’t use Facebook or other social medias, but wanted to reach out to you. Maybe there’s a better way than this comment box? ;). Just finished the victim series and yes, it does apply to my adult children more than to me. Ive been watching you since the Pandemic began. I love the week in review as that’s how I catch up with you. Your site gets better every time I visit. Great Job! – I really wanted to give you feed back on “the letter to myself”. Every year I pull out last year’s list of things I want to accomplish and .., this year I followed your instruction. After the letter to myself, I made a different list of why I didn’t do these things sooner then turned it around to how I overcame those obstacles. Two months in, I was doing well. I slacked off a little but getting back on track. Thank you!!!
