Monday morning at this time I’ll be out of recovery from shoulder surgery.
I was going through my checklist and I’ve got everything I need: a top-notch surgeon, a woman who loves me and will nurse me back to health, a great assistant to handle everything and a handful of friends who’ve offered help and assistance.
There’s one thing I’m missing—especially today. I’m missing my mom. My mother, Lindy, left our world just over two years ago.
Mom went back to school in her 40s to become a nurse. Her degree only confirmed what we already knew—my mom lived to take care of people. I’m grateful that I’ll have the chance to repair my shoulder and I’m even more grateful that I get to remember and share my wonderful mother with you.
BTW, I’m on Day 1.
‘Long story.
