Back when I was a kid, there was much less to keep us entertained so we valued the entertainment we got.
Like, the comics!!
Every day my little hands would dig through the stack of newspaper sections to find the comics and would lose myself in Blondie, Hagar the Horrible, BC, The Wizard of Id, and Pogo.
Walt Kelly who created Pogo had a profound sense of humor and in one of his strips Pogo famously says, “We have met the enemy and he is us.”
I’ve quoted this many times to myself because when we take responsibility for our lives — as it is, then and only then can we begin to make new choices.
