The other day, I was listening to a podcast explaining the Rooney Rule, which was implemented decades ago to increase the number of black coaches in the NFL.
However, since the death of Dan Rooney, former owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the man for whom the rule is named, the Rooney Rule has become watered down because it lacks someone with the moral leadership to enforce it.
Today, African American coaches are no longer gaining more coaching jobs but they’re losing ground because of a shift in values.
What are YOUR values? Not the one’s your parents, friends, or ministers sought to instill in you.
What do YOU value most, and then what’s next, etc.
