Synopsis
There’s a wonderful moment in Hamilton, where the Skyler sisters sing a song, and in the middle, they shout “rewind” and the stage itself slowly spins like a record album in reverse.
The characters all end up momentarily back in the past where they relive a previous scene from the musical but with a very different outcome.
This scene is a powerful reminder that we all have things we’ve done in the past we’d like to revisit — sometimes to enjoy but more often in a desire to correct something we’ve done.
Wayne Dyer put it so well when he said “Life doesn’t come with a rewind button” and if that’s the case, we can only make the past better by making the present the best it can be.
