Have you ever wondered why it’s so hard to be grateful but it’s so easy to complain?

It has to do with Behavioral Economics which states that human beings value loss more than gain.

It’s a weird quirk we all have and you see it easily in kids.

A child will totally ignore an old, broken toy but as soon as you attempt to throw it out the child has a fit promising to play with the toy every day.

This is why we adults struggle to appreciate what we have and that means OURSELVES.

Learning that we all have this tendency to diminish gain and amplify loss can help us overcome it so that we begin to live a life of gratitude rather than discontent…
