My mentor Russel Brunson tells a great story about his first day as a college wrestler.
While unpacking his dorm room, Russel is surprised to see his new wrestling coach at his door with what seems to be a gift in his hands.
During his own wrestling career, the coach had shattered every record, won every major wrestling title, and he was presenting Russel with a condensed videotape of his greatest moments in the ring.
Brunson accepted the video but was shocked when his coach then demanded his wallet and cleaned out the contents.
“Russel,” he said, “If I’d given you this video you’d probably never have watched it. But, because you PAID for it, I’m sure you’ll put it to good use.”
